What is Falendor?

In late 2012, frustrated over the fact that I had more stories to tell than time to draw and publish them, I took a break from comics. I was training for a new job and in my spare time had a chance to flesh these stories out while reading fantasy novels on my downtime and took a page from their 'playbook'. I decided to create a mythical land and apply a comic theme to it. What I got was a collection of adventures that run the gambut of heroes, monsters, fairy folk, royalty and the like all with one underlying factor, that somewhere down in the depths of all creatures, no matter what your background, beliefs, class or even race, we are basically all the same. I took these stories and added humorous twists to them because that's what I do.

A fan once told me that one of the reasons she likes reading my comics is because she likes to see that world through my eyes. The way things happen unconventionally is what I've tried to install in this kingdom.

Listed below is the introduction to each comic book and its respective story. I am not sure how this will end up but, I do know that I am going to enjoy this land and watching its inhabitants grow.

This is the intro you will find in every comic book:

"In a time before man as we know him and the old story tellers. When creatures of all shapes and sizes roamed the land. Where magic mists and dragon smoke were as one. There existed a land where all worlds and planes came together. Creatures big and small roamed these lands, inhabitants of this world, a life force if you would, to feed the magic and secrets that sustained the land. These are their stories, placed here so as not to be lost.  These are the tales of ... Falendor: The Forgotten Kingdom."

Here are some of the stories you will find in the comic books.

"Lost in the woods, three young Orcs on patrol are separated from their group while chasing a Pixie. Not realizing that it is her magic that keeps them going in circles, lost in the very same woods they were patrolling.

Now, Grog, Flem and Trunk are in for their own adventure, lost ... in Orc Hollow."

"Trying to prove himself in a world where chivalry is but a rumor, honor is only whispered of and courageousness is reserved for all but the dead, our Hero is in search of the mystical, Ring of Eternity. He battles on through every quest hoping that after each encounter he is one step closer to achieving his prize.

He is courageous, dependable and without a clue ... he is, Sir Raymond of Dale.

These are just the beginning of the many stories of Falendor: The Forgotten Kingdom.
